Mike Barrett joined the Stocker Preston South West Real Estate Group in 2008 as Licensee of the Bunbury office. Mike was formerly working for the WA State Government as a Project Manager responsible for delivering complex urban and industrial projects in Bunbury and the South West.People will be familiar with Mike's work coordinating the transformation of large areas of Bunbury such as the demolition of the grey silos in 1992, relocation of oil companies and old port infrastructure to pave the way for the Marlston Hill project, rationalization of the former Koombana caravan park for residential and tourism purposes, upgrading Bunburys back beach and establishing the Picton Enterprise Park. The skills required to achieve success in these projects included high level negotiation, knowledge of planning and approval processes, financial feasibility analysis, understanding of real estate trends and the ability to work with all levels of Government, the Business sector and Community. Mike believes strongly in the City of Bunbury's future as a sought after location to live work and invest and welcomes the opportunity to discuss any aspects relating to the property market.
